Faith Formation K-12

Faith Formation at the parish and school for those in grades K-12 is a continuation of, and in addition to, the faith formation provided by the parents and families. We are here to support parents in your roles as first catechists of your children. 

Use the parish Faith Formation registration:

• For children who are not attending St Francis School, and who will attend weekly faith formation classes every Wednesday starting September 17. 4:00 for grades k-5 and 6:30 for grades 6-12.
• For any child in grades k-12 who is preparing to receive a sacrament, including St Francis School students. 
• For any youth in grades 7-12 who is already Confirmed and wants to join our middle school youth ministry or high school youth ministry.

LAST DAY TO REGISTER IS SEPTEMBER 13.

PAYMENT

• Family Fee is $100 per family.  
• There is no Family Fee for SFS families or families of volunteer catechists.
• There is an additional fee for the Confirmation Retreats for students in their 2nd year of preparing for Confirmation. 
  • Middle School Confirmation Retreat, for grades 6-8, is on a Saturday in March. The cost is $40.
  • High School Confirmation Retreat for grades 9-12 is at the Idaho Catholic Youth Conference, on Friday - Sunday, March 5-7, 2027. The cost is $300.
• Registration and Payment are part of the online registration

PARISH CLASSES

• Weekly Classes start Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
• Wednesdays 4:00-5:30 pm for students in grades K-5
• Wednesdays 4:00-5:30 pm or 6:30-8:00 pm for students in grades 6-12
• Home Study options can be available for students in their 1st year of preparing for a sacrament. Please contact Janet to schedule a meeting. 
• St Francis School students do not attend weekly Wednesday faith formation classes.

Faith Formation Calendar 2026-2027 for the weekly Wednesday classes. 
Every Wednesday except these 7 Wednesdays:  BLP Schools conference days, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving week, 2 weeks of Christmas break, and spring break.

• March 17 for BLPSD School conference day
• March 24 for spring break.

Cancellations for Weather 

• We will follow school closure for Bend LaPine School District.  We will not have class if BLPSD school is cancelled for that day due to inclement weather or if BLPSD evening activities are cancelled for that evening due to inclement weather.
