Custodial / Grounds Keeping Position
Full Time Position 40 hours a week
(20 Hours Custodian / 20 Hours Grounds keeping)
Position Compensation: $15.00 Hourly
Custodial Position
In this position the candidate will be responsible for completing weekly custodial tasks that help to enhance the beauty and overall cleanliness of the facility for our staff and occupants.
Custodial Responsibilities:
Grounds keeping Position
In this portion of the position the candidate is will utilize a combination for manual grounds keeping tools as well as riding mowers, push mowers, leaf blowers, and edger’s to maintain the campus grounds to its highest possible standards.
Grounds keeping Responsibilities:

Custodial Position

Custodial Responsibilities:
- Restroom Cleaning
- Cleaning and Sanitizing surfaces
- Mop Floors
- Restocking Toiletries and other Restroom items
- Clean mirrors
- Remove Garbage and Recycling
- Vacuum Floors
- Window Cleaning
- Floor Sweeping
- Auto Scrub hard surface floors
- Dust surfaces
- Setup / Disassembly for Events
- Assist Facilities Maintenance with Maintenance projects
- Maintain inventory of necessary supplies.
- Making sure exterior and interior doors are closed and locked when not occupied.
- Follow departmental policies and procedures.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and guidelines
Grounds keeping Position
In this portion of the position the candidate is will utilize a combination for manual grounds keeping tools as well as riding mowers, push mowers, leaf blowers, and edger’s to maintain the campus grounds to its highest possible standards.
Grounds keeping Responsibilities:
- Mowing Grass
- Weed Eating overgrown grass and weeds in flowerbeds, Fence lines, Etc.
- Edging turf around hardscape
- Removal of exterior garbage
- Brush cleanup (Fire Prevention)
- Prune Trees and Shrubs
- Assist Maintenance with irrigation
- Report Damages or Maintenance issues.
- Assist Facilities Maintenance in Snow / Ice Removal
- Follow departmental policies and procedures.
- Follow all safety guidelines involving tools and equipment.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Be physically capable of standing for long periods of time
- Endure many hours of walking.
- Must be able to work unsupervised.
- Need to be capable of comprehending and fulling written orders.
- Must have goodtime management skills.
- Experience as a custodian or Grounds keeper would be beneficial but is not necessary
- Basic knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment
- A basic understanding on how to measure and mix chemical cleaners
- Familiarity with basic landscaping practices
- A self-starter
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have a basic knowledge of Custodial practices
- Attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalents

Historic Church / Rectory Custodial Position
8 hours a week:
(2 ½ hours in the Historic Church / Church Public Restroom,
2 ½ hours in the Historic Church Rectory,
and 3 hours at 27th Street Rectory)
Compensation: $18.00 Hourly
Job Description:
The Historic Church / Rectory custodial position is responsible on a weekly basis for the general cleanliness of both our Historic church, public restroom, and two rectory houses.
Job Responsibilities:
8 hours a week:
(2 ½ hours in the Historic Church / Church Public Restroom,
2 ½ hours in the Historic Church Rectory,
and 3 hours at 27th Street Rectory)
Compensation: $18.00 Hourly
Job Description:
The Historic Church / Rectory custodial position is responsible on a weekly basis for the general cleanliness of both our Historic church, public restroom, and two rectory houses.
Job Responsibilities:
- Vacuuming, mopping, cleaning restrooms, window cleaning, restocking paper, and soap supplies, Removal of trash from trash receptacles, cleaning counters and tabletops, washing bedding and making beds, watering indoor plants, and general security when the job is completed.
- Maintains the inventory of necessary supplies.
- Report necessary maintenance issues.
- Follow departmental policies and procedures.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Previous custodial experience a plus
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Physically able to lift 40 lbs.
- A self-starter
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Able to work with no Supervision.

Evangelization and Catechesis Team Member
Overall Responsibilities:
St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Bend OR is seeking to hire a qualified person to join the Evangelization and Catechesis Team. This full-time position requires the employee to be a practicing Catholic with a deep understanding of the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. The nature of this position requires a flexible work schedule that may include weekends and evenings. The Evangelization and Catechesis Team guides others to meet and enter a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and to go forth to live that faith as disciples of Christ. With this mission in mind, the team organizes and supports studies, events, activities, classes, and outreach ministries to meet people where they are on their faith journey.
Salary $42K

Qualifications
- Active member of a Roman Catholic faith community
- Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Religious Education or related field or compatible experience and or training in catechesis, leadership and management
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Skills & Experience
- 3 years or more of parish catechetical experience
- Comfortable with or able to quickly learn programs such as Word, Excel, and database management systems
- Strong communication and administrative skills
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
