Class Descriptions

Mathew: The King and His Kingdom
Provides the key to understanding the rest of the New Testament and Christ as the fulfillment of God's plan.

Schedule: Tuesdays, starting September 15th, 9 to 10 a.m. Room FD 4 for 8 consecutive weeks. *

Materials: Catholic Bible. 

Format: Read the Bible at home; class discussion.

Evangelization: by Dr. Mary Healy.
Mary uses the Bible, Jesus’ call to evangelize; the power of the Sacraments; charisms to build up the Body of Christ; and St. Paul’s techniques to reach a secular culture. 

Schedule: Tuesdays, starting September 15th, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  Room FD3, for 10 consecutive weeks. *

Materials: FORMED workbook “Evangelization”; $20 if ordered before Aug. 20. **

Format: FORMED video; class discussion of workbook.

Rosary: Born from the Bible
The history, structure, and Biblical sources for the Rosary.

Schedule: Thursdays, starting September 17th, 9 to 10 a.m. Room FD 3, for 5 consecutive weeks. *

Materials: Rosary

Format: Facilitator presentation; pray the Rosary in class.

Salvation: New Life in Christ by M.P. Barber
​Bringing the richness of the Bible, Church Tradition, and History to life. Provides an explanation of and a response to common misconceptions about salvation and gives participants a deeper love for the Savior himself.

Schedule: Thursdays, starting September 17th, 10 to 11:30 a.m. Room FD 3, for 10 consecutive weeks. *

Materials: FORMED workbook: “Salvation: New Life in Christ”; $20 if ordered before Aug. 20 **

Format: FORMED video: class discussion of workbook.

​** IMPORTANT! To order a workbook: Workbooks are ordered when registering and will be at the first class. After the August 20th deadline, workbooks would need to be ordered individually and would cost almost $40.
