April 24: Clare and Francis
This epic feature film on the lives of St. Clare and St. Francis of Assisi was shot on location in Italy. This outstanding movie is unique among films about St. Francis because of the historical accuracy of the story and its authentic spirit of joy and piety so characteristic of Francis, as well as the major role played by Clare, who is given equal stature with him. Francis renounces his inheritance of wealth to live the Gospel and serve the poor and outcasts. Clare reads deep into his heart and decides to follow him, leaving her home and family to give herself as a bride of Christ. Both found major religious orders, and together they inspire many to follow their radical call to live the Gospel. Their impact has reached across the centuries to change the world.

April 17: Triduum: A Spiritual Pilgrimage
Triduum: A Spiritual Pilgrimage is a beautiful, 30 minute contemplative documentary. This film cinematically walks through the locations of the Holy Week story, re-presenting the most important days of human history. Immersed in the real and sacred places of the Holy Land, the pilgrim faithful is brought tangibly nearer to the story, the landscape, and the reality of the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Triduum draws Catholics and those with open hearts and minds to experience a deeper understanding of these events and places, and offers rich meditations for the pilgrimage of daily life. Now more than ever, as many of us are confined to our homes, journey along this spiritual pilgrimage and be drawn more deeply into the life and love of God.

April 10: Jesus of Nazareth
The 1977 series starring Robert Powell is one of the most in-depth cinematic retellings of the life of Jesus Christ. While these two videos together comprise 7 hours, we're hoping that you'll just take some time and watch a little bit of it. Watch the whole seven-hour series if you'd like, or watch the series in 20-minute chunks and take as long as you'd like. If you start the second episode right around the 50 minute mark, that is where Holy Week starts in the series, and it's a great section to watch as we prepare for Easter!

April 3rd: "The Greatest Trial in History"
"The Greatest Trial in History" is one episode of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen's Emmy-Winning TV Show Life is Worth Living. Fulton Sheen is a very interesting man to watch because his beatification is already in the works, and we hope and expect that he will be canonized a saint in the next few years. He's the only candidate for sainthood to have his own TV show, and if that isn't cool enough, I'm also giving you some links to a website to learn more about Fulton Sheen and the canonization process, as it's actually happening!
