Would you be interested in a Mini-Pilgrimage?

​As part of the Eucharistic revival, we would like to know if offered would you be interested in participating in a personal pilgrimage within the Diocese. 

Please read "who, what, when, where, and why" below, then answer the question, would your family be interested in participating in a Diocesan family mini pilgrimage as part of the National Eucharistic Revival?

     Purpose: To promote understanding and family participation in pilgrimage as part of the Eucharistic Revival in the Diocese of Baker. To support the            Domestic Church with an opportunity for families to create faith-based memories on vacations, weekdays off, or weekends. To encourage a deeper awareness of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimages.

Who: The primary focus is families open to or seeking faith-building opportunities for vacations and travelers/ visitors.

What: Provide resources to guide families to plan a mini pilgrimage; provide resources to plan a pilgrimage to the pilgrimage site, including an estimated cost per family. Outline the components of a pilgrimage, including prayers to pray before the pilgrimage; potential walks at the pilgrimage parish; prayers to pray at the parish; formation about an aspect of the Eucharist connected to the pilgrimage parish; and a reflection process.

When: Tentatively August 2023 - October 2024. This is the time frame to invite families to make a mini-pilgrimage.
The mini pilgrimages will be self-guided by each family or group of families traveling together.

Where: An identified parish or site(s) within the diocese with historical and/ or cultural importance for the Catholic faith in Eastern Oregon.

Why: Encourage families to experience the long tradition of pilgrimage locally for low cost and high Catholic impact.
Prepare the faithful for pilgrimage as a part of the Eucharistic Revival. Serves as a local option for those unable to join a National Eucharistic Pilgrimage.
