About Us:

The parish of St. Francis of Assisi is excited to welcome a team of FOCUS missionaries to the Diocese of Baker. FOCUS serves to fulfill Jesus’ great commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” inviting others into a relationship with Jesus and equipping them to do the same for others. FOCUS serves the Diocese, parishes, college and University campuses, and communities across the country, exalting the mission of Christ through education, training, and discipleship across the faith journey.

They will be doing outreach at Central Oregon Community College, OSU-Cascade, and the city of Bend at large to invite many into a relationship with Christ and His Church via small group Bible studies and discipleship. Additionally, they will help equip college students and parishioners alike to become missionary disciples who are convicted of the need to share the Gospel with all.

Jesse and Alicia Stokes
Parish Missionaries
Jesse and Alicia are fifth-year missionaries with FOCUS and have served at multiple universities nationwide. Jesse will serve as the team's director, and they are both very excited to be serving the parish. Jesse is from Colorado, and Alicia is from Washington. They were also recently married,​ so be sure to say hello if you see them!

Evan Melchior
Campus Missionary
Evan is in his first year with FOCUS and is excited to be serving in Bend! A true Midwesterner, Evan is from the Kansas City area and is a recent graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is thrilled to serve on mission, and feels blessed to be in Bend with the communities on the college campuses and at St. Francis parish for this work!

Celeste Limon
​Campus Missionary
Celeste is a first-year missionary with FOCUS and is excited to be here at Bend serving the college campuses! She is from Yakima Washington and just recently graduated from Eastern Washington University. Celeste is Mexican and can fluently speak Spanish so she’s excited to serve such a large community here in Bend. If you see her around don’t be afraid to stop her and talk to her!
