SECULAR FRANCISCANS LIVE IN YOUR COMMUNITY
There are married and single Catholics in your area, who belong to the Secular Franciscan Order. We come together monthly at St Francis Center to pray together! to learn together! to do good works! to socialize! and to follow in the footsteps of Jesus!
“St. Francis is known as everyone’s saint.” A WAY OF LIFE The Franciscan lifestyle is based on the simplicity of Gospel living with a deep and mature trust in the Spirit of God.
St. Francis called the Holy Spirit the Minister General of the Order.
He considered having the Holy Spirit active in one’s life, the most important thing. “…They must desire above all else: to have the Spirit of the Lord and Its holy activity…”
Over the span of its long history the Secular Franciscan Order has been a blessing within the Church. There are 17,000 Secular Franciscans in the USA.
For centuries it was called the Third Order of St. Francis. Now it is called the Secular Franciscan Order (SFO).
